What do Harry Potter and King James have in common?

Hot off the presses…H.P. and the Deathly Hallows is due out in theaters this November, but just as unfair as Harry’s own existence, November brings us Deathly Hallows Part One—the second half due out in July of 2011.  C’mon already, do I really need to turn 48 before the saga ends?!!  Quick math calls this a 14-year long epic—are they trying to outsell the Bible in the meantime?  I’m currently watching HP and the Sorcerer’s Stone on cable and remembering the initial thrill of reading the book, hoping that somehow it could be magically translated into visual form.  Weird that a children’s book should act as a landmark in my memories—I remember cramming to get it read before my nephews came to visit, so that I’d at least be “up on” blast-ended skrewts and muggles and such.  Ah…I was so young and innocent back then!
